The Applied Research and Communications Fund (ARC Fund) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1991 in Sofia. Its mission is to support international and inter-regional cooperation and strengthen the capacity of NGOs and public-private agencies by leveraging opportunities offered by new media and information technologies. The organization aims to contribute to the development of a knowledge-based society in the countries of South-East Europe and to promote competitiveness and economic growth in the region by encouraging innovative solutions and facilitating the transfer of new technologies and know-how. To achieve these goals, ARC Fund designs and implements strategies focused on capacity building for NGOs, information society development, and technological innovation.
